Why is this being romanticized? When Native Hawaiians who have occupied these islands for thousands of years, choose to live on the beach, it is called illegal camping. I am sure this was a time of deep thought for Mr. White, but my obsession is to return this paradise back to the people who truly discovered these lands, in this I and the Natives of these lands are persevering, have persevered, and will persevere. Why do these American foreigners of European descent come here and think that Hawaii (and the rest of the world) is their landscape, to do with as they please without thinking of the history and natives of the area? When will the Monroe Doctrine end? There is a legacy of mostly American foreigners coming to Hawaii and imposing their values and beliefs. It started with the missionaries and their European Gods and idols who came here and made money at the expense of natives and native culture. I can go on and on. Pretty good, I only used the word Haole once! I am huhu. Aloha. Read my comments on the advertisers story. http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008809300302
