It's true...as you might have read in my final column for "What I'm Reading," due to space cuts at the Advertiser, which has also necessitated the combination of arts and books coverage to one half of a broadsheet, my column is no more--in the Advertiser at least.
Lucky you, I'll continue to run the full, never before published interviews of past column features here on my site, so look out for that. But I am also making an effort to keep the column alive, in spirit if not the same frequency, bringing you brand new, not space encumbered interviews with people in our community and authors both here, on the mainland and abroad. In this way I hope to continue providing a window not only into people and what they read, but to new books and authors beyond our shores.
First up, look out next Wednesday for a new interview with University of Hawai'i Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw.

Sorry to hear about the cutbacks. Everyone is getting hit!
It is happening everywhere. It's the fourth outlet I've lost to cuts this year. :(
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
